EVERYTHING LEADS TO THE RT CONVENTION

Isn't this a pretty cover??

Two quick things!

First thing!

This Thursday, Nina LaCour's Everything Leads to You comes out. I think a lot of you would like it.

Nina writes my absolute favorite kind of novels—real and romantic characters, settings so delicious you can taste them, and beautiful beautiful beautiful sentences.

I loved her first novel about surviving the suicide of a friend, Hold Still. I loved her second novel about an all-girl rock band, The Disenchantments, even more. And now I love Everything Leads to You EVEN MORE.

It's about Emi, a talented young production designer, and it contains: a mysterious letter, a dead Hollywood film legend, getting over an ex, the search for the perfect couch, awesome best friends, a transformed apartment, tacos on the beach, and an intriguing aspiring actress with red hair. Who just might be Emi's true love.

AND IT'S SO GOOD, YOU GUYS.

I took this picture of Nina two years ago when we sneaked away from our book-tour duties and went to the Seattle Public Library. (Yes. We took a break from books to visit more books.)

Second thing!

This week, I'll be in New Orleans for the RT Booklovers Convention.

IF YOU'RE ATTENDING AND YOU WANT AN ANNA/LOLA/ISLA TOTE BAG (one of these), getting one is simple. I'm taking twenty totes with me, and I'll be giving away ten at my panel on Thursday and ten at my panel on Friday.

Approach me before or after the panels. Ask for one. First come, first serve.

“Don’t Let Me be Misunderstood”: YA Authors in the Digital Age

In the age of social media and smartphones, authors are online 24/7, including when we’re sleepy, on deadline, and everywhere in between. How do we avoid flames?

  1. I cannot wait for Everything Leads To You. I'll admit. I've totally been wanting to read it based on the cover. I mean, that cover is AMAZING. But, the fact that it's about something that interests me, also has me excited!
