Cricket! My Sweet Cricket!

 ♥ ♥ ♥

Holy #$^%, you guys. THIS ILLUSTRATION of Cricket Bell by Simini Blocker.

I never, ever, ever show pictures of what my characters look like, because I don't want to spoil what's in *your* head, but . . . I had to break the rule for this one.

Because this is *my* Cricket.

Ohmystars, Simini. You have made me a deliriously happy author!

(I am dying. DYING.)

Again, wow, thank you Stephanie. You know that awesome feeling when someone who's work you really admire like something you did? Yeah. That. It's fantastic :)

And I love your books because the characters are so fully developed that they already feel like people I know. I can't help but want to draw them up.

(Also, umm, there's a higher res version I emailed you a couple weeks ago. I don't know when I'll get printing going, so, there's that.)

I have homework. I have tons to read. I have chores to do. And yet, here I am, with Lola just finished reading. It was extraordinary. It made me feel like I don't deserve guys like Cricket. Because I just broke up with one. And I want not to care about it, but I can't. Lola is a wonderful book. I wish I met those extraordinary people who made you write this great book so I can make mine as close to awesome as yours is.

and also, I think you have just been upgraded as my favorite author.
